Sales Team Tracker

A daily report that helps managers spot missed leads and boost sales team performance.

Introduction

I redesigned a daily report email for dealership managers to track which customers were browsing inventory and which salespeople were following up. The new design made key insights easier to see and act on—helping managers prioritize leads and drive more sales.

Problem

The old report was cluttered and hard to scan. Managers couldn’t quickly spot aging leads or team performance gaps. And for the company (Foureyes), this core product hadn’t been touched in years—it felt outdated and unpolished.

Goal

Make the report easier to read, faster to act on, and aligned with our updated design system.

My Role

I led both the UX and front-end development for this project. I worked with PMs and customer success to identify pain points, then created wireframes and ran internal usability tests. After iterating on feedback, I designed a polished, modern layout inspired by our marketing site and in-app design system. Once approved, I built the email myself—coding it to work across all supported clients. It was challenging, but rewarding. Being both the designer and developer meant I could push the visuals further than usual and make them real.

Project Journey

Original Design 😵

The original report was noisy, cluttered, and hard to scan. Key information was buried in dense layouts, making it difficult for managers to act quickly.

Wireframing to Explore Structure

I created low-fidelity wireframes to rethink the layout and surface the most important insights. This helped align the team and focus the redesign around clarity and usability.

Final High-Fidelity Design

The final layout introduced structure, hierarchy, and consistent styling to match our updated design system. Visual cues like color indicators made follow-up urgency instantly recognizable.

Responsive on Email

I hand-coded the final layout to work across all supported email clients—including a mobile version that maintained clarity and functionality on small screens.

Conclusion

The Sales Team Tracker helped managers take faster action on leads, hold their team accountable, and feel more confident in what they were seeing. By modernizing the design and making it work across every surface, we turned a stale utility into something teams relied on every day.
